I play heads up NL 0,01/0,02 stacks around 1,5$ both. the dude called a raise twice and then donked the flop for the pot. so i have QQ on the BTN:

I raise 3bb he calls. (pot=6bb)

flop is J,7,2 rainbow. he donks for the pot.

I call figuring out he is probably bluffing and if i raise i take him away of his bluffs

turn=King

He bets big (around 2/3 pot)

i call thinking he probably continues with the bluff. and decided to fold if he shoves the river

but the river comes a King. and he shoves. so i htink and then call... he had K2o...

some might say that raising the flop would be the right option since it would have won me the pot this time.. but i believe that this is not the case since it would have costed me value had the turn not improve him... i believe my mistake was not folding the river. or maybe i should have raised the flop. because i didnt have info on the guy to make sure he was going to continue bluffing if that was the case... i am really confused because this happened exactly after i put my money in with Aces against kings and saw the river taking my stack away with a nice King giving my opponent a house..

I am by no means a good poker player so my advice is maybe worthles but if i put myself in his postion i would have done the same.

You raise. Its heads up and a 0.02 game. I have a king so guess i might as well try, king high is not too bad in heads up.

Flop comes and i hit bottom pair, i guess you must have at least on face card, so i bet and if you call or raise you have the jack and i fold.

Turn comes and i hit two pair. So now i think i have you, unless you have a set, bet big because i think i have you beat but a call from you could change that.

I hit the full house, you called my big bet so you might have a full house as well but not as good as mine. Have to shove.

Roughly along those lines.

All i can think is that if you had raised the flop he would have folded. I know you wanted value, but that is where the gambling element comes in. I prefer them to make the gamble (if that makes sense)

But i could be wrong, its the first time i have ever tried giving poker advice, so there is a good chance its wrong, haha

I would have raised the flop. Heads up, you already had a nice preflop pot built. If he called you or raised you and you did see the turn I would think maybe he is holding High pair or the Jacks.

Best scenario, he folds the flop. Its hard to beat a fish when they hit, but you can live to die another day with the info, now that you know how he plays.

Do not raise flop.

Fold the river or even turn depending on his image

First mistake is playing 2NL heads up. I am not positive but I am not sure the rake is beatable. Also raising flop is fine with an overpair in a heads up game.

it was necessary to make a large raise on the flop, and then it would most likely took off to yet there are those players who raise with K2 go under and pure luck to win ((
