What would you do faced with this overbet??

6hd cash game .10/.20

I raise 4BB in the cut off with Q9s.
Both the blinds call.

Flop : 5c 2s Qc

SB blind pushes $8.11 into $2.60 pot.

I decided to make the call. I have been calling in this situation at this limit with mixed results. Half the time it is a flush draw, half the time a Q. Havent seen any1 do this with 2pair or a set. Since i am ahead of most of these hands i called. The SB turns over QT and it holds up.

What do you do in this annoying situation. I have called before and been right. I do not have a record of exactly how many times i won in this situation. Usually i will have a better kicker than a nine. I went with my gut on this occassion.

Please give me your opinion on these huge overbets out of position!!!!

Edit: A bit more thought makes me think villain may be doing this with middle pair, or maybe evens tens or nines. So it may be closer to a call than i first thought. Ill run some numbers through pokerstove and see what i get.

well after running these through pokerstove, technically we should call. Although i have given villain a very very wide range, based on you being readless. If you can give us any stats/reads to narrow down villains range, that will be easier.

I've been seeing these overbets a lot recently. I dont always have a hand that I feel comfortable calling with though, but most of the time that I do I find that they either have top pair or a draw. But then again different players do different things with different hands.

I had been playing pretty solid. But trying not to have to tight an image so icould get action on big hands.

^^^ He has a huge figure for VP$IP, so he could have a huge range of hands. Based on his hands that have made it to showdown aswell, he seems to like suited cards. So i think my range above actually fits him pretty well, so i would call here. Even if you lose, you can see what he pushes with for future use.
