How was this played? What do you think he was holding to fold on the river?

pokerstars 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed) hand converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Qc, Tc.
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP1 raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, UTG calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 7d, 8s, Ts (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG folds, MP1 raises, MP3 folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) Qd (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls.

if the raise was a minraise i would think a suited connector, but it would be likely that he would have hit a FH/straight/2pair early and would not have folded...
if it was a bigger raise he could have had a low pp and not wanted action, and bet/reraise to try to put you on a hand.. could also be AKs?

A read on the player would have gone a long way, but this is somewhat in line with how I would have played AK and JJ in this spot.

Looks to me like he was betting out on 9-9 or A-9.....

If that's the case, I'm wondering if he should have saved himself the bet on the turn?

yeah, My guess is a 9 of some sort. FLopped hte open-ended straight draw...Its a hand i like to raise with (not as much as a flush draw though)
