every draw made it on by the river I dont see any reason to call the river here.

flop im ok with you just cold calling or raising, turn im ok with you checking .

Yeah , my set could only win 2 pairs. Is this -less than half the pot- call -EV??

I think you are beat here more then you are ahead so in long run making this call would be -ev. I dont think villian is value betting 2 pair here or making a total bluff with air. The way he played it is a very passive way most low limit players play draws.

im guessing MP guy had the J, something like KJ.

Definitely reraise that VERY draw-heavy flop. Oh and raise preflop.

Another vote for reraising the flop.

Look at it as if you're playing AA/KK preflop OOP. With these you raise preflop (bet in this case because it's the flop rather than preflop) but when someone gives you the chance by re-raising you, you repop again because you've got a monster and you don't want these hands that already look like they're drawing to be able to hit. Then if you get called and outdrawn, well, you got your money in when you were ahead, just like AA/KK will get cracked. And if you lose set over set, well, you're supposed to lose big when that happens.

NineLions, do you mean reraising the flop and then release the hand if a spade or a card to complete a straight hits the turn?

I do mean reraising the flop, much in the same way as one would 4 bet AA/KK preflop. In this case because it's the flop it would be a 3 bet instead, but similar principle.

I think when it gets raised and comes back to you, you've got to tell them, hey, I wasn't just making a move at the pot with top pair, I've seriously got a hand and it's going to cost you to chase your draw.

If a straight/flush card comes on the turn, I dunno. If you've bet proper amounts you've given him 2 chances to not call against pot odds and you have to decide whether he's a chaser and has hit, or whether he has two pair and you're still ahead, or a bigger set and you're beat. OOP it's tough; that As is a bad card as it completes a flush as well as a straight for KQ and he could have been drawing to either, or maybe both. If he had KQs he's not folding on the flop anyways but then he could have played it stronger rather than calling.

You're either WA or WB which usually means checking, but after a big show of strength that might induce a bluff from someone behind.

I dont mind calling to induce a turn bet and raise, but i dont know if i do it oop against 2 opponents.

They could be buying a cheaper draw by raising, and then checking behind on turn.

If theres two of them and a raise, ones likely 2 stick at least, so i dont think you need 2 slowplay till turn.

But anyway nothing too bad about flop play i guess, turn was a bad card so check is pretty standard.

Had original flop raiser bet river id have called but BB as stormswa said, has flush written all over his play, so i think river can be folded.
