I'm in the BB with 10hJh, a player in MP1 raises it to 3x, the sb calls as do i.
The flop was
Jd 8d 6d
I bet pot and they both call. The tables at this site play very loose, mostly calling stations and maniacs so far. So i felt they could be on a wide range..even AK,AQ..almost anything. As was proven at the SD.
The turn is a Td
Good and bad, it makes me two pair but also puts up a scarey board. How would you proceed on the turn. Is this a wa/wb situation? Do you bet the turn to defend your hand with the likelyhood taht one of them holds a diamond or some type of draw. Anyways, i overlooked that the the sb was short stacked. I bet $1.25 into a pot of $1.50 and the sb is allin for $2.20 and turns over 97.
Knowing the hold cards, its easy for me to say check the turn and then call his value bet. But i am i right to think..that vs loose, fishy players that 75% of the time my JT is good on the turn and therefore the bet is fine? I still think i should have checked, as if they were on at draw it was at best a 2-1 shot. So maybe that was the better line to take.
I'm trying to work on wa/wb and pot control atm to make my decisions easier on later streets. This might be a example, where i fell back into old habits...obviously, if i check..i can then just call a value bet on a the river. For a smaller loss.
Any thoughts? thanks
