hey guys coulda played this better for value maybe?
while i will also take pointers on postflop play (not sure if i maximized) the biggest question i have is the river and wether i should have raised his bet or not

thanks for the advice!

100NL 9 table max

Hero UTG :ad4: :as4:
villain BB

preflop (pot 1.50$): Hero UTG raise $2.50, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG+5 calls$2.50, fold, fold, BB calls 1.50$

FLOP (pot 8$): :6h4: :qc4: :ah4:
BB check, Hero UTG check, UTG+5 check,

Turn (pot 8$): :jc4:
BB check, Hero UTG raise 5$,UTG+5 fold, BB call 5$

River(pot $15.90) :2h4:
BB bets 12$, hero calls 12$

was this the right play? should i have raised on the flop or just reraised on the river? i didnt raise the flop because i want someone to at least be able to draw to a hand and b able to chase SOMETHING as it is likely they dont have top pair and chances are they dont have a heart flush. so that being said should i have raised on the river? the more i look at it the more i think yes because a 5$ bet into that pot should have gotten most people off of the flush draw on the turn, but i dont know....thanks for the insight either way!!!

Bet flop. It is wet, and Ax will pay off three streets a decent amount of the time. Heart draws are only paying off one street if you check flop. Same with combo draws. River is probably a fold; you don't really beat any value hand that plays like this. Going to see a flush a lot. I don't think people are bluffing here 30% of the time to make this call even breakeven.

On the flop, it is necessary to raise. Do not give a free card.

Just bet the flop. People are more likely to peel the flop than the turn, anyway.

I'd only check here if we had flopped quads, as they'd be drawing dead. In that case we want them to improve.

As played, river is good. Raising the river would be complete spew. The only hands that would call that raise would be flushes.

Thanks guys, your all saying the same thing and your right, i think i got too sucked into thinking trip aces is the nuts haha and i was gonna trap an improved hand. I may not get paid everytime when i raise the flop but its better than losing to a sucked out free draw on the turn or river. Thanks for the input!
