You're getting pretty good pot odds (~3:1)....I suppose this depends on your reads aswell though.

I probably call and then cry when he shows me KQs.

You got chips to call with but it's possible he has two high spades. The check on theflop and turn tells me he wants free cards if possible to get his flush or he is slowplaying his set of Kings. I would call here.

I'm not good enough of a player to fold in this spot. You're getting about 3:1 and although I wouldn't expect to win much more than one-in-four on this one, it's close enough that I'd make a crying call. I really, really don't expect to be shown KK though. I'd be less surprised to be shown 7-6o than pocket kings.

Replica hand to something I got on the weekend. I folded that one.

You're right. Tricky decision. Read dependent, I'd say.

Btw that fold has been bugging me for days. Did I do the right thing, or didn't I?

I was going to post that hand till I saw this one.

Well the consensus seems to be to call... which I did. Here's what happened:

** Dealing River ** [ :4s4: ]
billy0liar is all-In.
Bombjack_x calls [$14.22].
billy0liar shows [ :ks4:, :as4: ] a flush, Ace high.
Bombjack_x shows [ :10d4:, :10s4: ] three of a kind, Tens.
billy0liar wins $55.34 from the main pot with a flush, Ace high.

Had you been playing aggressive? Looks like he knew you would bet for him so he walked the dog a bit and then used the hammer on you. I would note that it looks like this guy knows what he's doing.

Well most of the time when people re-raise at this level, they have AA / KK / AK. He's behind two of those and splitting with one. From his point of view I'm not betting this flop and turn with QQ / JJ so he just wants to see it through as cheaply as possible with his flush draw. He said he put me on AA / AK. He was just very lucky to hit as a 4:1 dog on the turn.

I don't necessarily agree. He had ace-king suited so it is certainly worth a look at the flop. After the flop he has tptk plus the nut flush draw, there is really no reason to think he's beat here. Since you are willing to bet there is also no reason to reraise and chase you away either. If I'm villan I think I have best hand here. This goes back no my original question. You said at these levels a reraise usually means AA, KK or AK, my question was what about your play. Have you been aggressive?. Have you raised with less than top 3 hands?. Have you raised flops when you missed (continuation bets)? Any reraise bluffs? Any shown bluffs at all? How have you been playing med pocket pairs, Raise, reraise, flat call?

Alot of what villan did here might be dependent on his read of you. And not everybody automatically assumes preflop reraises always means AA, KK or AK.

I have put him exactly on this hand which he had.. the AKs
.. no reason for him to go ALL-IN after last spades...

He know you found something good and he know he have the nuts now...
bluff is realy unlikly .. WITH AA, im pretty sure he reraised preflop.. :/
with KK u had also lose.. QQ or JJ would be an hard move for him to go ALL IN...

pot odds are nice... but if you are beaten, you are beaten! :)
