Toss it. We're behind plenty of hands - flush, 78, set, 9T, and we're only coinflipping vs hands like KcTx or QJ. (with QcJx, we're actually a 2:1 dog).

Instamuck. Reads or PT stats also help by the way, but most of the time if not all of it, I'm folding here.

The only reason I wonder is it didn't seem like a flush, it could easily be a flush draw but then again that really wouldn't make any sense either as who bets that much on a draw? Seems like he's trying to chase me away. In reality I ended up flat calling, non-club came on the turn, I checked, he bet $4, I folded. He shows his 99. I should have realized he had something like a set or 2-pair, I definitely didn't have him on the flush already, unless he had like a 5-high flush and wanted to chase away higher flush draws. Basically my only 2 options should have been either a fold as mentioned or a raise if I actually had him on trips or 2-pair, and in this case I'm not sure whether a raise would have worked or not. I think your call (folding) is the best one though, but I basically did the worst thing possible. Thanks for the input.

oh and in terms of PT stats, this was my 5th hand at the table, so not enough to really make any kind of read.

Muck it. You have only a pair of tens and there are too many ways to lose this.

As a general principle in a full(ish) table ring game, the watchword is patience. There isn`t any need to get into a big pot with a marginal hand. Especially when you are new to the table and have no reads and no clear pointers to what is going on.

There is no hurry. Wait for a better spot.

Yep that would be a fold. His over-raise suggests that he really wants you to fold.
Probably a guy afraid of bad beat or something. He either made his baby flush on the flop, or has something great (but can't beat a flush) like what you said, a set.

Fold, he either has a huge hand he's trying to protect, or a big combo draw that you're behind against anyway (something like straight + flush draw + pair).
