ok so there are 3 people in and we're playing 10/25 cents blinds my cards are 8 10 off im second to act....no preflop raises and i hit top pair of 10s on the flop with an open ended straight draw(needed J or 6)...guy UTG raises to $5 action to me im thinking he has pocket pair higher so i fold...last player calls next card J!!..i wouldve won huge! pot with straight...the guy who raised $5 had pocket 77 and hit his set on the flop...was my fold the right decision??

the pot is so small this this is probably a decent fold. If you can put in the first bet and have some fold equity, or you have more money in the pot, sometimes these are ok all in spot, but this guy just invested a huge some of money, so your FE is nill

if he had raises preflop there would be more reason to put him on an over pair which is one of the best scenarios for you, but since he limped, he could have AT or KT which has you in good shape, J9s, or a set.

you are probably getting close to 4:1 in implied odds, but since you dont really know what will win it for you, and he could still have redraws on your, I think a fold in an unraise pot is a good move.

on a board like this in an unraised pot all your outs are less than they appear. I would probably call a $2 bet, but $5 is too much.
