Hi guys,

Another situation i am having trouble with.

Villian is 21/16/4.5 over 260 hands. Cbet % of 80 and Turn Cbet 71%.

WTSD: 26% and W$SD: 63%.

Multiway PF and i flop TP. Turn a FD and thats where I have the problem.

Do I shove over the top of his turn bet or call and see a river?

What if river is a blank?

I can't see a fold here can you?

No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB ($20.80)
UTG ($130.10)
MP ($106.30)
Hero (Button) ($118)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5

What range do you put him on? What part of that range will call a shove?

I don't like shoving. You're always a dog when he calls, and I think he'll call a ton considering he bet the flop into three people and continued on the turn. If you hit that back door flush you have pretty good implied odds. Shove over his river bet and expect to get called plenty of times.

If you don't improve on the river you can fold, no problem.

I think there's a decent argument to be made for shoving several river cards, improved or otherwise. River raises are hard to call. But that's perhaps a separate discussion.

I guess his range is 22, 44-TT, 67s. A2s-A5 type hands.

Not sure if i am on the right track here as hand reading is a part of my game that i am currently struggling with but working hard at.

Would you say i am on the right track here?

And if this is his range i guess folding is best?

You're on the right track. :)

Whether you're correct about your estimate is hard to say, but it's a good start. But now go punch that range and your own hand and the board into PokerStove and see what your equity is like!
