I was bored and wanted to play some low limit ring games at fulltilt, since I seem to not do worth a chit there in any thing else. I don't have much experience with omaha ring games, just tourney play, the hold em tables dont have lower buyins for some reason.. so any input for my next" I'm bored lets play omaha" please....:)

Easiest game in the world when you hit on the river, isn't it?

First hand, fold preflop. All there is is a flush draw, too uncordinated to play in Omaha.

Second hand, no point raising. It's a nice drawing hand, you want as many in the pot with you. Fine post flop.

Third hand, maybe you were dragged into it by the flop, but it would have been safer to fold to the pre-flop raise. Again you've not really got a hand which is likely to hit the nuts. 5 outer, i'm usually on the other side of those.

I cant add much to robs analysis but i will say, it is pointless raising pre flop in low stakes omaha. With hands like k,j,t,t, limp in to build a multi way pot, this way you have huge implied odds based on players stacking off light at this level. Just be wary of your pre flop raises and be more inclined to limp to make a multi way pot and get paid off with the nuts

thanks, hopefully I'll think about this next time I decide to try it, honestly I never thought about the uncordinated you stated. Maybe I need to actully read a book. I had just took that guy for about 10 on another table and knew he was tilting against me, didn't put him on a better hand, my mistake, I honestly thought I had the best hand on the flop, so again I really need to read a book.:) I'm really not comfortable rasing preflop unless I have aakk in this game, don't know when that will end. Thanks again both of you.

statistically you or one of your opponents will have the nuts on the flop 102% of the time in plo and this will be the losing hand on the river 101% of the time. Exploiting that 1% as much as possible is what makes good plo players great.

edit: almost forgot new real time sig - "GET YOUR CHIPS!!!"

Couple quick general thoughts about PLO.

Play hands that work well together, and that will also be dominating if they hit. 4 broadway cards, suited aces with another broadway or 2 etc.

Practice calculating pot odds in your head, and figuring your clean outs. It's so very much harder in PLO than holdem because of the shear number of outs you might have.

If you have trouble handling bad beats and suckouts in holdem, don't even think about playing PLO.
