Should I have played this differently?

9 handed $50 NLHE
I'm UTG +3 with Ah Qh and $74.50, 3 limpers in front of me and I raise to $3.25 and 3 players call pot=$14.25. The flop comes 6d 9c As and 2 players check to me then I bet $7.00 and 1 player calls. The turn is the Qd and he checks to me again and I bet $18.00 at this $28.25 pot then he goes all-in for another $20.31 and I call then he turns over 99 for a set and the river is just the 3h. Was there anything I could've done to avoid this trap? Thanks for your opinions.

Thanks but why would AJ/AT stack here?

Wrote that kind of fast and didn't think; AJ/AT probably won't stack unless they're very aggro players or think they have a read on you.

Regardless, my point was that there are enough hands that you have beat that take his same line that you have to make this call here.
