When I flop top pair OOP I lead out and if I get reraised I fold. If you are IP you can reraise them to get info. If they reraise or shove you fold and if they call then check the turn and if they bet small, call it and if they bet big fold, otherwise try and check it down.

When posting hands it would be nice to not have the other players name.

I'd fold there as well. Make a note on the player what he did and watch to see if it happen again versus other players. Also, determine how frequently he overbets like this so you can better assess future situations.

Versus an unknown in this spot I think you have to fold as they often have you beat.

Not a good idea to call overbets with one pair hands. So if you made a fold then i think you made the right decision. Would have been better if you posted more info on effective stack sizes. We need all the information we can have.:p

This bet is really sick. If you decide to play you should play more agressive not like this.

i also have to say that your first bet is far to small, at least 3 bet here. if you have no idea about his range it is a fold after the overbet, take a note and have an eye on the player! May he will overbet permanently and you will have a nice donkey here to earn money from

definitely a 3 bet preflop. KJss is a strong hand when facing a button min open. you want to start extracting value for your hand, and by 3 betting you build a bigger pot if you are called, and you also give yourself to take it down pre (if everyone folds). you also want to generally avoid just calling from the blinds since you will be out of position, so regaining the initiative/betting lead by 3 betting will compensate for this. make it 16c, and then lead out for about 2/3 pot if called on that board.

as played, i think leading out is fine but make it much bigger, since this is a good board for your hand so you want to get value for it. A 1/4 pot bet does not really accomplish this. Turn is a fold until you get some info on what your opponent's overbets mean.

I agree with the call, as the bet was very high, which would risk a lot of money in the situation. You didn't even have the best kicker, so a A J would beat you, as would 2 hearts if a heart came on the turn or river. If I was in a case like this I may have either folded, called, or allined. There is an allin option due to the fact that I'm already pot committed.
