I bout into a cash game for 10 bucks, up here at my school. The blinds were 25 cent and 50 cent. Since i only had 10 bucks i was short stacked to everyone else who bout in for 20 bucks. Well i was playing tight because everyone else at that table was maniacs so my stack went down to 6 bucks. I finally get cards to play with.

I had QQ
I raise 3 bucks
Two ppl left
Flop is Q 10 K
I go all in
I get one call
He's got J K Suited diamonds
He gets the flush on the river.

What would you have done in my situation?

Shove preflop and sit on your hands, if he sucks out, punch him in the face. :D

Really, shove preflop. You have the best possible hand preflop.

On the flop, he's got a flush draw, open ended straight draw to beat you. that's about 15 outs? He definitely has the odds to call your $3 all-in bet with the pot at $9.75(+your all-in $3=$12.75).

and at a .25 .50 game you should be buying in for $50. no less. $10 should be a buyin at a .05 .10 game.

Playing tight against maniacs definitely right, but you want their entire stack when you have the best hand. At least buy-in for the same amount or slightly more than they have. That way, you can wait an orbit or two, get a good hand, and own them.

To be honest you did not do too much wrong in the actual hand.

Poo happens sometimes. lets face it - he has up and down straight draw and flush draw and top pair. You would do well to get him to lay it down at any point during play except pre flop.

You did a 6xbb raise - so not much wrong there either.

Having the full buy in may help - but in this situation you could have lost the lot anyway. Some you win, some you dont.

I agree the only way this is to play far lower limit......
