I think after every session Im going to start posting a hand that I had to think about a little while. Here is a strange one. I had been fairly aggressive, raising a lot with position. I only had 15 hands on villain, but I put the stats down there, looks like your typle fish. Limp reraises I see alot being AA or KK, but he limped when someone in front of him had already limped, so that was a little wierd. I didnt really like the way i played the hand (even though i did end up winning). Just curious as to others thoughts. I think I either have to shove or fold here.

I would put villain all-in here. You are more likely to see a donkeyish play with some hand like ATs from a dive bomber than KK or AA and with little to no fold equity you might as well get the money in here.

You're right, villain's play makes no sense and you definitely see lower pairs more often than AA-KK here (as well as other hands obviously like 2 broadway or even mid-suited connectors). The weird nonsensical limp-rr is often indicative of a low-mid pair though.

Evaluating without specific prior reads, villain's play here seems bad enough whatever hand he has to make me think he'll call off his short stack with pretty much whatever hand he has. As we're ahead of his range, we should shove (note also that villain will insta-shove practically any flop if we call). If he ends up having AA-KK, make a note, move on and be glad villain was shortstacked.

yeah, alot of times when you raise they think that you have no clue the strength of their hand and think that there made hand is good for a race against over cards hoping to take down the pot there.

you miswell get all your chips in here, because its cool to limp when your first to act or the first caller with aces but RARELY do you see a player limp with aa or kk when people have already called before them. Virtually only very passive players and people that have no clue what they are doing (or if they are 100% sure someone will raise in late position, no one's doing it at those stakes for sure). Theres no way you can really give credit for aces or kings to a limp reraise when someone has already called before that player acted.

Easy easy push here for reasons others already put down. A player who limps behind and then suddenly wakes up when you raise is almost always a medium/small pair or sometimes a weak ace/KQ type hand. They wanted to see a cheap flop, didn't, but they're hand's too strong to throw away so they come over the top. Push!

I have run into big hands occasionally with this same play (once the SB limped with KK behind like 5 people, and my AQ got slaughtered), but really it's very rare, especially when they're new to the table.
