============

Do I call this? When he flat-called my raise I figured he had AK and was just seeing what the turn brought. Unfortunately it brought an Ace so I thought I'd check/call to get to SD cheaply. The river bet seemed like a value bet.

Thanks - Red Dawn (first post)

Hmmm, I don't know what calls the preflop raise and the pot sized raise on the flop other than a set or possibly AT, either of which you're way behind on the turn. Unfortunately he's giving you 21/5 to call his turn bet so it's tough to fold there. I'm done by the river though.

Your turn play spills weakness all over the place. Raising, or check re-raise would be much better.

A solid opponent would make that river bet with rags, knowing you can never call. (Did you? :))

Or, when that second 6 hits you push all-in instantly. Against a weak player that wouldn't be a good idea, though.

I'd fold, it looks likely that he has an Ace and I'd rather just save myself the $15. A lot of players make the mistake of getting married to a high pocket pair such as this and not having the discipline to lay it down when an overcard hits. He is showing a lot of resistance here and all you can beat here is probably a pure bluff or try to move him off his hand with an all-in bet which would do nothing as a raise here since he is pot committed at this point. I wouldn't open shove when the six comes on the river because I would think it looks very suspicious if I was the other player especially after you check-call the turn which looks weak. So basically, I'd fold. Also if I wanted to stay on the turn I'd rather bet it to get a better sense of where I'm at in the hand.

Please lead the turn. Specifically bet/fold.

As played fold river. Theres almost no chance you're ahead here. In fact, I think villian has 55.

Stats based on 23 hands tell you nothing. I've run 12/10 for short periods and I am typically a 26/16 lagtard.
