Villain is 17/11/5 over 81 hands.
What do you think of folding here?! Is it bad or was it correct?

its NL5... most people there dont think like you. they play A10/JJ/99 and possibly AK the same way.. you might include 109 /A9

I feel your bets and your calls shows weakness, i think you should have re raised on the turn showing you had a over pair.

But as damsco0 said, at these stakes, people play all sorts of hands.

Knowing what you know I'd have played about the same. However, I don't play with a HUD and people at those tables will push that hard light enough that I would have shoved over the top, or min-raised him knowing that almost always induces a shove at that point.

He has an AF of 5 and you are surpised he bets? What do you think that he on the flop that called and then folded the turn. He has seen an aggressive player Raise call the flop and check call the flop, he should be betting the turn again.

IMO either 4bet preflop and then shove this flop or fold to his 3bet (very nitty) calling preflop was the worst here if you are just going to fold to aggression any way as there are as many hand you are ahead of as behind in this spot. And by calling his 3 bet you have not narrowed his range at all.

Of course I could be completely stupid too, it is still early am here.

I'm not folding an overpair at 5$NL, much less in a 3-bet pot, much less against a villain with an AF of 5 that can certainly play AK/JJ just like this. But that said, I wouldn't be suprised if we're stacked by aces/kings quite often here.

Get the money in.
Vilian is aggresive so his beting doesnt mean strength,it means u showed weakness.
With overpair at 5NL folding here is way to weak imo, vilians range here haves so much junk in it J10-A10,99-JJ and more crap plays like this.
Do your self a favour and either 4-bet or fold prf.

Also is .20 your standard raise or just for UTG?

Calling with this hand is probably fine. This guy isn't your typical 5$NL retard when he's running 17/11/5. He is probably good enough to fold out hands like TT if we 4-bet, and once we 4-bet we'll pretty much be priced into calling a shove. However, I certainly wouldn't plan on calling & folding to a bunch of aggression postflop, since that's going to happen 100% of the time with an AF of 5.

Because you've shown so much weakness, I think you have to get it in. Unless you have a specific read I don't think you can play scared of AA/KK here. Folding QQ on great boards when you've check-called the flop probably isn't profitable.

I wouldn't say it's JUST for UTG, but I feel only raising to 15c (I know it's 3bb but there's not much respect for cash at 5nl) just doesn't cut it in that situation. It's not something I habitually do, generally the Eb an Flo of the table that dictates my raise. Is this bad?

I for some reason thought when wrote that this was 10NL even thou i said 5NL in my post:eek:,and i was whondering if min beting was your standard raise UTG,but since this is 5NL and your raising 4BB its all mute point.
