Thanks. Yeah looking back at it i should have probably bet on the turn and bet a little bigger on the flop. I was trying to figure out where i was with the smallish bet on the flop and when he just flat called it I wasn't really sure where he was at on the turn.
Stop worry about where you are. "Betting to find out where you are" is such a terrible newbie mistake. You'll naturally find out where you are as the hand goes on while you're betting for value/to get other hands to fold/ect.
In cash games, you should just be repeatedly asking yourself this question: Is there value in betting? In this particular case, there is tons of value in betting. All pairs lower than QQ are going to call you, and any 6 is most likely going to call you. So bet, and stop worrying about if he has quads or aces.
