Well played in my opinion. In this 4-bet pot we have mainly KK and QQ in the range of the villain. So this place, became a flip situation.
9-8 should not be in the range of the villain. And AK is locked with your hand.
Play with Full Stack from any position in NLH.

I am not folding AA, when there is so little stack left behind, but I might go for a check-call rather than a C-bet on the flop. It was a pretty ugly flop for AA, but there are still some hands, you beat, like AQ, AJ, AT, KK, KQ, KJ etc. You also have a gutshot to the nuts, which is at least a little something, when you are behind. I am not putting Villain on a particularly narrow range here. That min 3-bet from a fish can be almost anything playable, and so can his call of the 4-bet. Given that stacks were this short, 4-bet jamming is also an option. You will be surpriced, how often a fish is going to call it off, and then you have no postflop headache with AA.

Yea don't beat yourself up over this hand. SPR is 1.3 here and we still beat AQ, KK etc as mentioned above. There's no way we can get away from this hand. If we don't get it in on the flop then we get it in on the turn. Agree we should probably x/c flop though.

Personally I don't see any reason to play 50bb deep on 2nl.
Players make more mistakes postflop and having a shallower stack gives you less opportunities to exploit them.
As for the hand, you need to have a certain read on villain that they are overly passive postflop to even consider folding.
Taking into account all of the Kx and AQ that play exactly the same way, this is an easy stack off.

You are doing a major disservice to yourself by short stacking but as played this is fine

Not folding this ever (unless on tilt maybe)..
They have everything. From draws over bad Jack's to reasonable kx.

with it only being for 50bbs and you having the gutshot as well it's reasonable to calloff
