SeanyJ24....?

So what do you think, I have absolutely no information on this guy he just bought in for $30 and I don't have any hands of his in PokerTracker. Do you make the call? Would you have played it differently at all?

Repop the flop bet to $10.

His call, and continued lead on the turn is scary, especially as the top card paired. He might have figured he was getting a good price preflop for A9s. The size of the bet looks a lot like a "call me" bet too, and something that he figures you can't fold.

As is, I'd fold the river, wait for another opportunity after you see him play a few hands. He may turn out to be LAG and this was just a bluff, or he might turn out to be tight and he was holding overcards too.

Tricky hand, especially without reads. He looks really strong though, like a set. PF AA/KK would normally re-raise but a flat call here is good too, so if he's decent don't discount that. Unfortunately you don't know him.

This is what I think. Re-raise properly on the flop. He donks $3 into you. Re-raise by at least $9. If he flat calls that and leads the turn I drop the hand. For me this is a set betting out most times. If you just flat call the flop and turn you'll kcontrol the pot but end up in exactly the same spot, having to call a push without a clue of what he's got.

What else bets like this? 10/10, JJ, A9 maybe.

Villain could have a wide variety of hands preflop since we don't have a read on him, but him donking into you after you minraised him is just very strong. I don't see a lot of hands we beat that do this (I'd even say that there are very few), unless he puts you on AK and is bluffing all the way.

Call.

As said re-raise the flop to $9, and be perpared to give up on any bad turn cards. This reaks of A9, but calling the turn bet commits you to calling the river bet without any sort of reads. Your getting 3/1.

Actually, extremely similar hand happened to me the other day live. Only I had AA. Turned out the guy was shoving with a busted straight. You're getting great odds and although it looks like he has A9, does A9 comprise 75% of the hands he'd play this way (since we have no read, we have to assume he's an average player)? Of course we do still need to factor in the times they have KK, AA, or even the chance he has 8T and actually rivered the straight. I'd probably call here but I'd wager you're beat. Odds are just too great to fold here considering a certain percentage of the time he will be bluffing. He could possibly hold TT, but that really doesn't match the flop pattern (if he plans on shoving the river after the board pairs and an overcard comes, why wouldn't he push when he has an overpair?). I'm curious, what did he end up having? Or did you fold?

Well I called simply because I was getting good odds, I thought he had A9 like the rest of you but I just couldn't bring myself to fold it.
