You're drawing pretty slim here actually. Of course any 4 or the 9 of spades will win the hand but any other 9 could lead to be beaten by the better straight and any other spades gives you a horrible flush. You have no redraws to better straights and no back door flush draws. Fold.

^ agreed and the way mr.2 names is calling tends to indicate either a big flush draw or a big str8 draw so really u only have 2 outs
fold

As the others said you aren't drawing to many outs

if you do get the straight flush you are probably getting the money in vs the nut flush

however cause you have so few outs and most other cards are going to hurt you, its going to be best to keep the pot small unless you do hit

having said that, if you check and then there is a bet and a raise behind you on the flop, I don't think its worth chasing

could be up against sets or other flushes that won't pay you off, even if you do hit

One of those hands/flops that are great in Holdem, but limited value in PLO?

well you definently have to call and see the turn. but i would like to suggest not getting involved with two holdem hands too often. i like to play cards that connect at least 3 in my hand normally for me to play but i understand that is 2 opposites that are suited so i understand the call to see a flop if it can be done cheap. that is really all i have to say but you have to call and see the turn you have and openended str8 flush draw so you have to see a turn card. as for a rive rthat is up to the senario you find yourself in on the turn and river. gl and play on.:D :D

AKs isn't very good in omaha, if you make the flush, you hold the second nut flush which is the most likely hand you will get paid off buy

if you flop top 2 pair you are sweating any card that will make a broadway

insta fold as your probably drawing to 2 outs only (that being the str8 flush) the raiser has a set and the other guy isn't cold calling with just a straight draw he almost 100% of the time has a combination of straight draw flush draw here and almost any flush draw crushes yours

Oh and your checkraising idea isn't very good. you have a bad flush draw and no wrap just a standard up and down straight draw. I probably fold this hand preflop to be honest.

Your low spades need to be used as blockers, not as a combo draw.

AK57 is not a very good starting hand, particularly for full ring.

Good advice here. I'm still learning. The funny thing is how much difference between ring play and tourney play in this game. In the tourney games they pound AK, As and Ks really hard.

You were right about what they had. The only reason I called was, and I know this sounds stupid, was I got one of those feelings. You know the one I'm talking about. Where you are 100% positive that you know what the next card will be. I knew I was getting my card in this game.

klitkat: calls $3.20
*** TURN *** [Jc 8s 6s] [4s]

Mr. 2 Names: raises $16.70 to $17.95
klitkat: raises $16.70 to $34.65
rickdogg187: calls $2.25 and is all-in
Mr. 2 Names: calls $2.85 and is all-in
Uncalled bet ($13.85) returned to klitkat
*** RIVER *** [Jc 8s 6s 4s] [2d]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Mr. 2 Names: shows [Js As Qs 7h] (a flush, Ace high)

klitkat collected $32.85 from side pot
rickdogg187: mucks hand
klitkat collected $22.95 from main pot

Well, that worked out nicely.

Keep posting these, BBB. I'm learning, even if I don't have much to contribute.

I like the fact you've brought Grumbledook out of hiding 'cause he's brought some good advice.

Even though your feeling came through you really shouldn't play like that... it's spewing and then gets you in a bad spot if you make something on the river if you can't get away from it. your probably worse than 20-1 in this spot and you weren't even getting 3-1 probably from the pot or just barely, the implied odds don't make it as bad, but in the end it's definitely -ev over the long run.
