villian is a good tag. 11/8/5. have seen him defend in the past & not go to showdown. just intended to take the blinds here, but this shows when knowing your opponent can win you a lot of money

I always try to pay attention to the players and make many mental notes.. I play alot of live action so rembering faces really helps me with the mental part of it.. It can be very very profitable

K, teach me somethin here joose; he's a blind defender kinda guy, so you expect some action when you raise from the button.

If he had TT, 99, or something, what would you expect him to do after your second raise?

Or, am I asking the wrong question; his call tells you he might have TT, 99 or something, but more importantly, he doesn't have AA/KK, meaning you can represent that and push him off?

he was sensitive to my having raised a lot of the few previous consecutive hands and in my opinion made a move with a/x or a medium pocket pair. i bet this flop and maybe reraise if he raises, but if he sticks around much longer than that then i obviously drop it. his cold calling my last raise preflop gives me enough of a green light in him doubting his hand that i can fire a strong bullet on the flop.

Thanks for sharing your thinking.

So this is all about playing the player and being willing to go deep (re-raises, flop reraises) to do so.

I guess you should be able to make this move against any tight player, once in a while. Only in this case because he had seen you raise a lot previously he pushed back, one time.
