playing AA in limit hold 'em

First off, please don't make fun of me for playing such low limits. i've been having an awful run lately, and i haven't played limit in a long time so i decided to start slow. I know that in such low limits, strategy can differ due to the prevalence of donks and calling stations, but it got me to thinking about how to play AA in limit. I got pocket aces twice in a span of just a few minutes. the first time, i started off raising everything, but sort of slowed down at the end and ended up winning. the second time, again didn't reraise the river, probably a better play that time, as i lost (even though it was a pathetic suck out). So anyway, should i just be raising and reraising with them practicly all the time, baring overwhelming straight or flush draws on the board? In limit (though perhaps it's not that much different) what makes you slow down with AA, and what makes you get away from them? thanks

I shall not berate such a cunning linguist on his choice of table stakes. AA is to be played so that you get as many bets in the pot preflop as possible while hopefully thining the field! PostFlop play will depend on opponents pot size and of course the board. Generally you will push AA as far and as hard as you can until a better hand is smashing you in the side of your head with a tack hammer!

At .02/.04, with the raggedy boards that came up I'd just be betting/raising and praying all the way down I think.

Now with a JhTh9h, or KKT flop I might well check/call down or fold to aggression.

As someone says in some poker book (I've read quite a few so am forgetting which is which quit often now), don't try and figure out what cards a bad player has because he barely knows what he has himself.

I'm derailing the thread slightly, I guess, but seriously... I sure hope no one would even consider making fun of you for playing micro-limits. If it's because that's all your bankroll can afford, then you're playing responsibly and that's not something to sneer at. If you're doing it because you want to try stuff out without risking too much money, then you're still doing it responsibly.

And if the reason that you're there is that you've taken such a downswing that you're basically bankrupt, then that's definitely no reason to jab. We've all been through downswings, and I'd be upset if anyone would think your post invited to make you feel bad about it.

The only thing that would be funny about playing micro is if Johnny Chan sat down at a $0.04/$0.08 table and lost.
