I know that this is only play money, and I should not have been in the hand to begin with, but say I am in proper posistion, would this be the right time to bluff in a real money cash game

From the preflop raise to the river, it's pretty horrible I'm afraid.

It screams of "I've decided to bluff here." not "I've got sufficient information on my opponent from the way he's played the hand to indicate that a bluff may be +EV".

You'll bleed chips if you play like this.

This can't be translated to a cash game, but I'll try.

With two limpers, raising to 3 BB is incredibly weak. It's suicidal with K/10. IE, everyone will call and some of them are bound to outflop you.
There are two more callers... ugh.
monstter re-raises to 23BB. Normally that's a huge/stupid overbet, but with so many people in the pot it'd actually be an acceptable play with hands like Q/Q or better. (I'd limp with J/J hoping for a set, but Q/Q is OK as someone with a better pair would have made a decent bet)

You call with K/T. That's suicide against a guy who made a bet like that.

Post flop monstter makes a minimum bet into a 50+BB pot. HUH? Mega-weak!

You re-raise another 9 BB. So he thew a grain of sand and you fought back with a feather. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak. I want to see a bet of 2/3 the pot here.

On the turn he minimum raises again, and you call. 1 BB into a 60+BB pot (or 70+ BB? I'm not going to bother adding it up)? Do I need to say anything here? Lets say the pot was $60 at this point. A $2 bet is stupid, as nobody will fold to that (no fold equity) and people will call a bigger bet with anything (so you don't maximize your potential winnings if you think you have an advantage at this point).

By the river he's betting 5 BB at a 70+ BB pot. This screams weakness.
You counter by raising to 45 BB. Still weak, but he was incredibly weak so it's a substantially better play (bordering on OK).

You win a an 86 BB pot.

So yes. He told you all along that he had nothing by betting like a scared little kitten so you were right to bluff at the pot. You're bluffs were really weak though, pretty much giving him the same message back and the odds to call with any lousy pair (up until the river).

I know it was a horrible play, its me screwing around on the play money tables trying to reach 10 mil. What I am trying to ask is, would it be a good idea to bluff at the straight on the river in a real cash game

What are your possible holdings based on your bets? Do you raise with 2 EP limpers holding 89 or anything that includes a 4? If you do, you won't for long. This was a bad hand to bluff from the start and your bets (sizing and sequence) left me confused. Usually when the bets don't make sense it's because someone is lying about their hand and I'm more likely to look you up light. Think about the hand you're representing when you decide to gamble like this and bet the hand the way you really would if you had that hand. What did you think you were representing here?

In this situation, yes it was the right situation to bet the river. His incredibly weak betting says that he has nothing. Maybe he had something lame... like K/T. ;)

Of course, a decent bluff earlier would have probably worked as well.

I know that this is only play money, and I should not have been in the hand to begin with, but

You want to be succesfull at poker you need to get away from the above mindset/attitude.
Focus on position & opponents not on buy in. Playing weak hands out of position is going to cost you in the long run no matter what.
Good luck.

Q. what are you calling a huge preflop reraise with and raising that flop with that has a 4 in it? see why any opponent with half a brain really won't buy your bluff?

Q. why are you trying to bluff at play money? it's about as smart an idea as covering yourself in steaks and jumping into the lion enclosure at the zoo.

i also think shine gave wrong advice on every street, heh. pf call is horrible, flop raise is too small - either rep the ace or don't, don't throw silly quarter pot bets out there. getting like 49386758 to 1 you may as well call the turn and hope you have a few outs.
