Thats an insta fold for me.
You cant improve your pair to trips or better.
You cant make a straight and you cant make a flush.
With this hand you can establish that without even seeing a flop.

insta-Fold pre flop really

All you have really is a pair of kings which cant really improve apart from a full house. In this hand you have top pair but its still a fold :)

Agreed, and even making a full house will be bad for you most of the time.

i know its not the best of hands

lol :)

it is, in fact, among the worst of hands. while there may be value in trying an elaborate bluff with AAAA in some PLO8 games (I'll explain if you want me to), here you're playing PLO, you have KKKK, and you will invariably be confronted with an awkward flop decision because you'll often have a reasonable hand (overpair), but absolutely no draws.

if i misclick or something and call preflop i probably just check-fold the flop and get out of jail early. we're in a four way pot against three huge ranges (people will limp anything in low limit PLO), and we're almost certainly either beaten already or will be outdrawn.

Now i know and agree i should have folded - but i curious :)
As i said it was a tight table and with the poor flop and little action i wanted to see just what would happen and i indeed hit a full house - but he had AA instead

It's rarely correct to play trips preflop let alone quads.

The best you can get is a boat only if three of a kind comes on the board which is pretty rare. Outside of that, you can't get trips, a straight or a flush. You shouldn't even consider playing this ever no matter what the table is like or the action. I'd fold this in the SB with 8 limpers.

lol, yeah there is absolutley no reason you should call any flop with 4 quad cards in the hole and not even trips in the hole, I don't care if the 4th card is the Ace and its suited.

THE only time I would even consider calling with trips in the hole is if its omaha hi/lo (not Omaha by itself) and I had AAA2 or a222 especially if the cards were suited with the ace, at least here you know you have strong outs to scooping the low and still can flop a the nut draw

quad kings = worthless in omaha

Perfect example of why Omaha is so hard for some many to understand. Here we are proclaiming that quads is an insta-fold.
Goes right into that same folder as getting dealt trips aces, in razz.

Actually trip aces in Razz can be played under certain circumstances. i.e. folded to you in late position on a raise to steal the blinds since you have an ace showing. Plus, since you have 3 of them it's unlikely any of the other players have an ace making you hand appear stronger. Now if there is action in front or you're in early position then yes muck. But AAA can sometimes (rarely) be played for profit although I'd rather have them in stud.
