ok so maybe I could have folded to his all in but to be honest I thought villian had AK. I just think I was doomed to lose this hand because it was another case of FT giving the underpair a set. Part of me also had to see if he was stupid enough to see if he hit a str8 or flush draw

Why did you raise to $3 when 2 people limp for 25c?

Why did you continue to bet $3 on every street?

Just one of those where you've got unlucky.

Probably could have gotten away from this on the river, flush draw, straight draw, possibilty of trips with the betting from villain.

Actually, you probably should have folded on the river.

I'd have raised all in pre-flop, but it wouldnt have mattered anyway.

Bad luck dude.

I got Aces cracked by Kings yesterday, funnily enough...on the turn.

This is irrelevent.

The guy holding kings isnt going to lay them down pre-flop to an all in raise, he sure as hell isnt going to lay them down on a flop of J-3-4 rainbow.

The King on the turn made his decision even more solid.

It was just luck.

the 3 dollar raise was because we had one person post outside the blinds, and I wanted to get HU against someone witha hand like kings or ak. 3 bet continous bet was to keep him giving me money. Somethin was tellin me to fold on river but I just couldnt lay them down, bad play by me there, just got unlucky i guess.

Not that it makes a difference but why give correct drawing odds on the turn? If it was an attempt to keep the pot small I kind of understand, but the $3 bet doesn't really accomplish it very well either since pot is almost $19 if he calls.

For the rest nothing to add, but you probably could, in a good day, make this laydown on the river if you have any good reads on this villain. Alot of bad luck here.

BET SIZING

Dude, he had $26. If Hart had raised all in for $30, do you think he was going to fold KK? I doubt it.

The flop looks good for KK.

The turn looks even better.

No amount of betting could have won this. The guy needed an ace or a better looking flop to take those kings down, that's all there is to it.

BET SIZING
Misch is right.

Raise to $3 PF with two limpers? Yeah, that was quite the overbet. As raise to $1.50 would be sized better there. Then $3 on the flop is less than half the pot. C-bet is fine, but I prefer a tad larger % of the pot there (as played $3.50 - 4.00, though the pot should only be $3.85 now, not $6.85). Turn bet is way too small to do anything. You bet $3.00 into a $12.85 pot. You may have thought you were value betting, but over 4 to 1 odds is good enough to call with a lot of holdings like flush and straight draws. Now the pot is $18.85 and you lead out with $3.00? The call on the river is just bad, IMO. Both the straight and flush got there on the river and you have one pair. What can you truly beat? Yeah, he could be bluffing, but as played, to me, that river reraise screams you've lost. You were going to lose money on that hand, no doubt. But I think you could have lost a whole lot less.

You're missing the point.

Ignore the results and the fact villain had KK for a second, because there's no way you could put villain on KK with any reasonable degree of certainty.

People aren't saying "your bet sizing is horrible" because you lost to KK and they somehow think that different bet sizing would have resulted in you winning the hand. they are saying your bet sizing is horrible because in general you are losing a lot of value with AA by grossly overbetting preflop (the overbet will make people too inclined to fold) and underbetting the flop and especially the turn (you are giving people odds to draw).

Lets see, there are 52 cards that could be your first card. And there are 51 cards that could be your 2nd. There are 2652 starting hand combinations.

Your looking at 1 hand playing AA, there are 2651 other hands where you wont have AA vs KK and will need bet sizing.

alright, yea i now understand about the bets. I should have bet more on the turn/river, but I really should have folded there. I always say I love it when people reraise like that because its so obvious your beat, now I just need to get the picture lol. Thanks for the advice guys, I will now hate AA almost as much as I hate AK :p
