UTG+1 is 19/12/2 over a smallish sample ~35 hands at the time.
MP2 is 15/9/5 over the same sample.
I've been really quite up to this point running something like 10/8/2 with no hands through to SD.

Stacks:

SB with $22.50
BB with $23.30
UTG with $77.85
UTG+1 with $61.55
MP1 with $100.30
MP2 with $49.25
MP3 with $8.00
CO with $16.20
Hero with $51.25
hand.pl

Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
Site: Full Tilt Poker
Dealt to Hero:Q♣ Q♠
Preflop:
UTG+1 raises to $1.75
MP2 raises to $3.25
Hero ???

How do we respond to his min 3bet here?

I would flat call here. I generally don't like to reraise with Pocket Queens unless I'm shortstacked or the original raiser is shortstacked.

This is a tough one for me. What kind of reads do you have on the players? Is MP2 capable of re-raising with a low/medium pair? Or do you think you could be up against a pair bigger than the queens?

Anyway, I actually think I'd just flat call here as well. I'm not raising for sure because of the stack sizes. You could be up against a big ace. If unders hit the flop, I'd put out a bet then to see where I was in the hand. If I see an ace, I'm probably done with the hand.

1. This is not exactly a min-bet. I know I'm nitpicking but $3 would have been min 3-bet.

2. I'd flat here, looking to call at least one street postflop, probably betting turn if flop goes check-check and he checks turn if board is unders. Unless he has a history of light 3 and 4-betting with you, in which case you could consider looking to stack preflop. But assuming no history, you don't do well against his stacking range but you're still probably ahead of his range. Let him bluff postflop and control the pot since you have position.

You're right Zach, it is a min 3bet + .25. When I posted this last night I must have miscalculated.

Anyway, I have no other reads beyond the stats. If there has been history between the original raiser and the 3bettor I have not noticed it (I play 8 tables cascaded so seeing these things for me is rare).

Well lately at the tables a min-3bet or min-4bet (or ones that are virtually min bets) mean a huge hand and not a bluff. Maybe the idea is to call and be wary of something like KK or AA?

So no one is raising a baby 3bet? Would your opinion change if we were in the SB and had to play this OOP postflop?

In general, our 4-bet is going to be raised or folded. Unless we are willing to stack I would not 4-bet here with QQ. It just turns it into a bluff. If we're stacking, I'd 4-bet here. Otherwise I don't like 4-betting QQ here.

Ok, well this is another one I played poorly then. I 4bet to $10 and folded when the 3bettor pushed.
