Is this a standard fold preflop, or is villian squeezing with a wide range here? I pretty much ruled out 3-betting PF, but it could be a mistake in this particular situation. Feedback?

BB with $38.95
UTG with $5.00
UTG+1 with $25.00
MP1 with $10.85
MP2 with $6.20
MP3 with $26.05
CO with $9.65
BTN with $28.70

stats on villain would be nice, although Im almost never calling here against any villain unless they are a crazy like 70/50 type in which case I would shove. So readless/against any sane villain this is an easy fold. You won't be getting odds to setmine, if the flop comes with overs you're gonna have to fold to a bet and if its all unders you're not gonna know whether he has a higher pocket pair than you.

Stats or reads on MP3? Given your stack size, I almost always 3-bet here. Pump it to 3.50, and put the rest in on the flop.

As for shoving over his 3-bet, its pretty close. I think we need to stove it...

$ in pot = $9.30
$ behind = $8.55

So you're getting ~2:1 on a shove. Even if his range is JJ+, AK we're getting odds to shove it in (we're 34% against that range), but I think he's squeezing wider than that.

Ship it.

Edit - Calling the 3-bet is obviously out of the question, but I think bw already covered that.

hmm, didnt realize stack was so small. Yea i probably 3bet preflop and just get it in on any flop since you're almost never going to get odds to setmine with a 40BB stack

3-betting pf allows us to either (a) most likely isolate in position heads up against MP3, (b) take the pot there and then (if MP3 is decent he may be raising light relatively often here), or (c) fold to a 4-bet.

Edit: Oh, we have like no stack. I probably just shove pre and hate myself for shortstacking, in that case. ;)

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 66.346% 66.14% 00.20% 45304090 138060.00 { JJ+, AKs, AKo }
Hand 1: 33.654% 33.45% 00.20% 22911950 138060.00 { TcTd }

Marginal but i cant see anything wrong with pushing here given the shortstack

Are you turning TT into 22 (setmining), or planning to make a play at the pot postflop?

As played, I fold. 3 betting in position might have been another option that would have given you more info earlier.
