OK so I know that I probably deserve this situation for playing this hand OOP in a limped pot, but besides the fact that i've completely butchered it is there any other decision than a straight up fold? Not much of a read on the except that he overvalues his flush draws.

Appreciate the feedback! :D

I think the play is fine up to the river. On the turn, I think you're still ok to bet with 2-pair in case he is on the flush draw. I'm not such a fan of the weakish river bet, though.

I'd probably check/fold the river in this situation, unless I had a read that the villain was capable of huge bluffs after busted draws. If this guy really is a flush-hunter, then he could easily limp on the button with any two spades here. And that includes trash hands with an 8 or K.

Fold preflop, I don't care you that you are getting a 'discount' price from the sb either, you have a easily dominated hand and are oop, that is a recipe for disaster.

Also, any reads on villian?

What's your position in this hand where it costs .10 to call? Anyway, I fold PF but flop and turn is fine, but I wouldn't fire the river...only hands calling you have you beat.

For 5 cents more, I see the flop. Maybe it's trip 2's, maybe Q,Q,J or maybe it's 10,K,A clubs ... ;) If you can't see a flop for a nickel, what will you see it for? Then decide where you go with it.

Even the flop and turn action isn't all that bad for a 10nl. Maybe a fold on the flop would have saved the dollar, but you did flop top pair. Problem with the river card is it's a guess as to whether villain missed his flush draw or has a Kx. Maybe even A,K.

Now it's time to fold. My guess is he hit his straight.

I'm not folding preflop, and I probably raise. If they're stations though, just calling is best. We hit enough flops, and these players are bad enough that seeing a flop is fine.

Check/call or check/fold the river. Betting is pretty bad. Lots of hands you beat are going to fold to a bet (which we don't want), and crap like a busted flush draw can bluff raise you off your hand.

By checking, we let players bluff this board (and its a great board to bluff, so it will happen every once in a while), and we get a cheaper showdown. Plus players at this stake level will mistakenly bet a hand like QT on this river, so you'll still get value from hands like J9, Q9, ect.

Thanks ver much guys!! Wow, I never realized how much one can learn about their own game when analyzed by other players!! :)

"Check/call or check/fold the river. Betting is pretty bad": I never realized that, you raise (excuse the pun) a very good point. I reckon this is probably a leak in my game, as I always usually bet the river in these situation being scared of my check being seen as me giving up on the hand.
