$10 NL - just checked the option to save HH's in FT so no HH for this one, sry.

No reads as I just joined the table, second hand I have played, first I raised 3XBB and everyone folded.

So i pick up 1010 on the button. 5 players have limped, pot is .65

I raise the pot, everyone folds around to the last limper who reraises another .80 (his stack is $17)

I call. - what would you do here?

flop is Ac9d5d

Villian overbets the pot by .30 - what would you think of this raise?

Hero?

I'll tell my thoughts later.

sry tb not sure if I get your response. Maybe its the way I wrote my post.

I raised 7XBB PF then was reraised by a limper, which I called. Are you saying you would rereraise?

Sorry missed that, my bad. Call for set value, I think you gotta fold this flop. A re-raise will scream strength though, I really dont think at $10 N/L someone will lay down TPTK in the face of aggression.

Your preflop betting looks OK to me.
On the flop:

If he checks, I'd bet about 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot. If he calls, you're done with the hand.

If he bets pot or more, I'd fold

If he bets half of pot or less, I'd put bigger than minimal raise, but not too big.

If he bets more than a half, but less than a full pot - I'd call.

If nobody folds on flop and he puts a significant bet on turn, I'd fold.

If he checks on the turn, then it's a very tough decision... I wish you a ten on the turn :)

Hero: Thinks, and thinks some more..... I don't know I have been concentrating on tourney play lately so I just may have to many thoughts running through my head about what his bets mean.

I had just taken down a pot uncontested a couple hands ago and this just seemed like a guy trying to get me to fold. The over pot sized bet seemed weak to me. These aggressive low stake players get most people to fold when they bet big.

Action: Hero raises to to $9

easy fold, probably ak. If you were checked too id probably put him on jj-kk and try to get him off it on the flop and turn. But at 10nl i guess hes calling anyway. Your often beat by ak/ higher pair here, but you migth get him of the pair. Tough desicion, minreraise preflop is often ak here i think so if he bets into you its an easy fold. If he bets small he may be testing hees underpair to the ace and you might get him off it. Anyways you dont have the best hand 95 percent off the time here.

I like your raise.

I think hes VERY likely to have a pocket pair of his own. Guess he could have aces and betting out the flush draw, but overbetting a set of aces isnt too common.

Trick is, even if he has a pocket pair, would he fold it after playing it so strongly?

But i think id take that shot too.
