I was playing poker with some friends and this hand pop out.

Were 3 payers left in the game
(pot size approximate)
Me 900
J 900 (he never lies when he talks and rarely bets when he has nothing)
t 45
Blinds 20/40

I get 32 unsuited
t folds
J calls
I check

flop t t 9

J looks at his chips and starts playing with them
I start doing the same thing (I have the reputation of stealing pots)

He looks at me and says your going to steal it right?
I respond You know it

J checks
I check

Turn (t t 9) 2

J Puts 40 in the pot right away
I called

River (t t 9 2) 2

He thinks for a long time and says Ill show you how we push

J raises 140
I raise to 280
J calls

I had a hard time figuring out what he might have knowing him he had pokets....a t whit something else or maybe a 9 with a good kicker...very unlikely to bluff. And him betting but telling me hes stealling the pot was very confusing he never lies when we play poker

Was it a right move to re-raise him or should a have raised more or just call him

Thx for your advice

I don't know him, but "I'll show you how we push" screams strength. Especially with the earlier comment about stealing.

If someone says, "We'll I guess I'll raise" or something like that, they often have a monster.

He had a 10, right? Maybe even with a 9?

If he only called a min-raise there he shouldn't have a ten in his hand.

The river min-raise is okay here I guess. He hasn't shown much strength in the hand. It's like he bet the river just to keep you from stealing it and not because he had a good hand.

Maybe he shows up with something like 89 here ... not sure what he could just call with on the end and feel like he was winning the hand. Your min-raise reps pure value.
