This was the very next hand, and I was trying to set mine(that the right term?), which i did. i don't normally call raises with TT in MP, but he had only raised it to 28c. Then the other guy reraises, and by the time it got back to me the pot was 3 dollars 50, and I had to put 56 cents, so i figured I was getting pot odds, or near enough, to call.
Beautiful flop for me, so I bet out big to scare the straight draws off, which i figured there might be some. 4ibo going all-in didnt worry me, he was short-stacked, but when Mike went all-in that got me big time. I did my time tank, and was trying to put him on AA, or AK, but please God not KK, well, God didnt help!
Could I have got away from it? Or played it differently?

Both hands are standard. First one, villain is only 25 big blinds deep so we always stack with an overpair. Second hand is a classic set over set cooler. If you don't stack here, in the long term you loose a lot of value from villains playing AK exactly this way. And AK is 4 times more likely than KK here combination wise. KK is actually a bit surprising as Mike136 did not 4bet preflop.

thanks for the analysis, BS, sincerely.
I really don't play ring tables, so i need all the help I can get, mtt/sng play I'm fine(I think), but ring is a new direction for me.
So me calling all in with that flop was ok? I know i won it, but was it the right play, Im more concerned with playing right, than the money side for the moment.
yeah, on the second i would have thought Mike would have reraised PF as well, but that seems to be the standard play at this site(virginpoker).
Couldnt do anything about it, nice thing was I didnt tilt, I said well done, and then I built the 74 cents I had left back up to $5 with careful, correct play, so I was only down $5 for the session.
Thanks again.

I really all depends how deep you play. The first hand, stacking is fine because the effective stack size (villain's) is so small. You should not commit a full 100 big blinds stack with an overpair on such a board.

On the second hand, villain's hand range is pretty narrow. The only legitimate hands he can have are AA, AK, KK, 44, but I think all these hands could play exactly as he did. Against that range, you are 83% favorite, so you of course have to call. In order not to call, you would need a monster read that
- he never raises preflop with 44.
- he is such a nit that he never stacks with an overpair or TPTK on a drawless board.
- he flat calls 3bets preflop with KK.

That's the combination of reads you would need to narrow his range to KK only and make this a fold.

well, Im buying-on for the maximum but on the first hand I wouldnt have called him if his stack was much bigger, as it was I had to call.
Putting a player on a range(for the 2nd hand) is the new thing Im trying to learn, but this was only the 4th or 5th hand of the session, so I didn't have much info on him, plus this is virginpoker micro stakes, so he could have had J5os for all I know.
Again, thanks for the advice.

When you hit a set and someone else hits a bigger set if you don't lose your entire stack you're doing it wrong.

Both hands are absolutely standard.
