ok this just happened to me in my local poker room playing playing 1-2 NL. I am in late position and get dealt AS 8S I call the blind with 3 players in. BB ( BB is a big LAG player ) raises to 6 everyone calls.........

FLOP comes: 8d 8c 9h

checked around I check

BB raises 10 I call followed by SB calling

Turn Comes 10d

SB checks BB goes all-in for 325 I have 85 and SB has 55

I call fast putting him on 10 J maybe 9 10 for two pair SB flods

River comes Jc

I turn over A 8 having 3 pair 8-8-8-J-A

BB Lag turns over JQ for a straight 8-9-10-J-Q

Nearly puked did I play this wrong or any insights on how I might have been able to play this better. I just didn't put him on the nuts when he went all in..

SB announced he had 5-6 and he nearly called another player said good lay down these are the types of players I was playing with.

So Dazed.......

It happens, I also lost two pairs to a straight last week when a LAG decided to keep calling his 33 on an A92 board when I was betting my two pair(A9).
Alot of loose players at the casinos

Thanks guys over much thought I have concluded this was not a bad beat but a bad play on my part. My big mistake was not rising on the flop..... the sad part though is I truly believe the player I was playing against would have called my all-in for 80.00 more with his gut shot... he is just that crazy. I think I figured out that all his plays comes from DOlly famous book super system after re-reading his NL portion I have come up with a few tricks that will back fire on him wish me luck .

P.S and yes I know my original post of him having the nuts is inaccurate was just so dazed still am but now I am more pissed off about my bad lay down
