I was bored so I decided to muck around in a cash game instead of a tournament for some reason and this came up: (Sorry couldn't get converter to work)

Table: MAYOTTE HWY (real money) Seat #5 is the dealer
Seat 5 - KITTYVIOLA ($35.55 in chips)
Seat 7 - HERO ($38.44 in chips)
Seat 8 - ROASTINEARS ($63.06 in chips)
Seat 9 - TREYTIME ($34.45 in chips)
Seat 2 - WINGNUT88 ($43.60 in chips)
Seat 3 - VERY BAD PLAYER ($13.52 in chips)
Seat 4 - JUST SAT DOWN ($50 in chips)
HERO - Posts small blind $0.25
ROASTINEARS - Posts big blind $0.50
JUST SAT DOWN - Posts $0.50

*** POCKET CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [Kc Ac]
TREYTIME - Calls $0.50
WINGNUT88 - Folds
VERY BAD PLAYER - Calls $0.50
JUST SAT DOWN
- Checks
KITTYVIOLA - Folds
HERO - Raises $3 to $3.25
ROASTINEARS - Folds
TREYTIME - Folds
VERY BAD PLAYER - Calls $2.75
JUST SAT DOWN
- Calls $2.75

*** FLOP *** [9c Js 4c]
HERO - Bets $8.50
VERY BAD PLAYER - All-In(Raise) $10.27 to $10.27
JUST SAT DOWN - All-In(Raise) $46.75 to $46.75
HERO - ?????

(names are changed to protect the guilty, very bad player is playing much too loose and calling where he obviously shouldn't and making poorly timed and executed bluffs and showing down terrible hands)

OK, so raise preflop I wanted to get it heads up with the bad player for obvious reasons, but they both call, I catch the ace high flush draw with a backdoor straight possibility and two overs, I bet, the bad player who likely has nothing puts in an extra $2 and the new guy playing his first hand, who checked/called preflop pushes. What do you think call or fold here? Or any other different plays previously in the hand to this?

Call and count my sklansky bucks?

Redraws are scary, because a set is very much in his range, but you are getting almost two to one odds.

Hmm, I'm not sure now that I think about it. Someone who plays holdem more will just correct me.

At worst you are a 25% chance to win the pot if you give either opponent trips. I call.

Just Sat Down posted his blinds UTG instead of waiting 1 hand. This is likely not the sign of a great player. TP, flush, and straight draws should all be included in his range. You've got @ $26 left after your bet. I like my chances here. I call.

Well at least I don't feel like a complete moron for calling since everyone seems to be in agreement, and I only bought in for $20 so not a big loss. Wasn't sure if my instincts were wrong for this situation though since I pretty much exclusively play tournaments. Was thinking that his range could be AJ, J9, a set or a str or combination draw, and maybe KJ or an overpair of which I figured I'd be at least a money favourite on his range.

HERO
- All-In $26.69
JUST SAT DOWN - returned ($11.56) : not called
*** TURN *** [9c Js 4c] [As]
*** RIVER *** [9c Js 4c As] [6h]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
VERY BAD PLAYER - Shows [10d 8c] (ace high)
JUST SAT DOWN - Shows [Jd Jc] (Three of a kind, jacks)
HERO - Shows [Kc Ac] (One pair, aces)
JUST SAT DOWN Collects $48.21 from side pot-1
JUST SAT DOWN Collects $39.69 from main pot

I didn't really expect to see the JJ with no raise preflop, 99 or 44 seemed a lot more plausible than that, but live and learn I suppose.
