As much as I hate folding overpairs in 3-bet pots, is this the time? [200nl FR]

I'm not actually entirely sure why I checked the flop. We did have a bit of history I had just set mined his super-small (6 -> 16) 3-bet when we were about 150 BBs deep and stacked him set > 2-pair. Competent reg, but this is my first week at FTP so no real reads on him other than standard tag reg.

So I 3-bet rather large to basically deny set-mining odds. He calls anyway, so I'm really not expecting low pockets in his range. Basically this river I squarely put him on QQ and that's it. AQ probably just calls this river as does KK although it's possible he has KK I guess and is putting me on Qx. In fact I expect him to be the flop with KK a lot so I guess KK isn't even a huge portion. Is this fold ok or am I just a huge nit? I just think is literally only QQ with the possible exception of him also having AA. But of course that's super-unlikely, although so is QQ. He just has such a narrow range here but I don't think his air range is wide at all. Also, does anyone think this river bet is bad, especially if I'm going to fold to a shove? I think we get a ton of action from hands like KK/Qx. Also anyone hate the flop check? Obviously my standard line is to bet that but I just felt we weren't really getting 3 streets and if he had like KQ here if we check flop and raise his turn bet he probably ends up getting it in. He just takes a super-strange line and in general super-strange lines from regs are basically the nuts.

Anyway, comments?

I hate the flop check. When he calls OOP, he's not looking to fold a top pair type hand.

I have absolutely no clue what he could have on the river apart from 77. He can't really expect you to bet the river all that often because you've shown no strength in the hand, so going for a check-raise is kinda weird.
This said, he almost certainly has 7x, even though it makes no sense. Almost every time I make a call because I'm confused, they show up with that super narrow range that seemed so unlikely.

Meh, you've made so much money in a week at FTP than i'm not sure i want to answer this. Too jealous... :D

Don't like the flop check. As played, can't call river unless you have a specific read that he's capable of bluffing a scary river like this with air, even though his line makes little sense.
