A rockish table except villian who seem to have noticed an started raising alot showing of some bluffs. People have gennerally played ABC - fold PP if overcards, fold high cards if no pair, fold pairs if facing alot of aggression
Im playing LAG,
I called figuring i could pick up the pot on the flop, not thinking villian has a strong hand.

** Game ID 1308641066 starting - 2007-05-06 17:41:51
** Homoptera [Hold 'em] (0.50|1.00 No Limit - Cash Game) real money
- djordje__ sitting in seat 1 with $124.95
- tyson66 sitting in seat 2 with $99.00
- mjaoo sitting in seat 3 with $85.90
- Lafaena sitting in seat 4 with $230.86
- Bebbe sitting in seat 5 with $107.45 [Dealer]
- ilpadrino82 sitting in seat 6 with $97.00
ilpadrino82 posted the small blind - $0.50
djordje__ posted the big blind - $1.00
** Dealing card to Lafaena: 4 of Hearts, 3 of Clubs
tyson66 raised - $4.00
mjaoo folded
Lafaena called - $4.00
Bebbe folded
ilpadrino82 folded
djordje__ folded
** Dealing the flop: 3 of Spades, 3 of Hearts, 8 of Spades
tyson66 checked
Lafaena bet - $6.00 I bet out hoping for a raise(either a bluff or an op, altough bluff seems most likely.

tyson66 called - $6.00???????
** Dealing the turn: 3 of Diamonds
tyson66 checked
Numeron bet - $17.00 Now im praying villian has OP, but...
tyson66 folded
Lafaena mucks: 4 of Hearts, 3 of Clubs
Lafaena mucks:
Lafaena wins $37.45 from the main pot
End of game 1308641066

After flop call i figured he could have an OP, and was betting in order to get it all in on the river. Should i have checked, realizing that he could only have overs? I certainly would have busted him if he had hit the river.
comments plz, and not say fold preflop, i know.

Numeron bet - $17.00

Who is Numeron?

Anyway, I think this hand postflop was played fine. I mean you could placed a smaller turn bet, but, I don't think that it would have made any difference to Villain.

Edit: You hadn't posted the explanation when I posted my reply. Sorry! Did you change the date as well? I thought that we might have another Euchel.

It doesn't really matter. Euchel was stealing hand histories from this site and posting them to another forum as his own. I'm sorry, hopefully I didn't hijack this thread and you will get some more responses.

There was $21.50 (?) in the pot, you may have tried a bet around $10-11 bucks........even with the set on the board.... it may have looked like you were just "hoping" to get him out of the pot instead of looking like you were "daring" him to come along for the river card.
All in all you got an extra $6 bucks out of him so you still did just fine.

p.s. take all my HA with a grain of salt....cause I pretty much suck at poker........ but have still managed a few victorys :)

I agree with Freak; you're not likely to get action here if hes got a big pair (not too likely considering his line), or if he's got something like A8 or 88.

If he does have a big pair, he stacks you here nearly every time, but you can also induce action from lesser hands if you bet smaller (maybe AK will get sick of your lag play and raise/call you?).
