If he is a constant aggressor in every hand, I would have raised half giving him something he's possibly pot committed with. If this was the first couple of hands I played with him at. I would have raised him in full.

Somtimes at smaller limits people think just because they have the straight or a small flush it's good and they will bet and call whatever.

A mini-raise doesn't make sense and actually appears stronger than just shoving.

Firstly, I think you played this hand really really strangely. Why raise into 4 ppl with utter trash when you know that they're all gonna call you at these stakes? Okay, fair enough call on the flop, but on the turn you just called :confused::confused:. This is like number 1 instance of needing to protect your hand against a set that can fill up on the river - you most definately have to put the raise in here imo and not call in hope of a nice river.

But given the situation you are in I say raise pot or close to it, as villain is clearly a complete plonewb if he's leading out for pot on a 3flush board on the turn where the best possible hand he can have is J-high flush - he'll probably call with 2-pair :D

1. The players behind me fold a lot to PF raises --> so raise to buy position
2. I will often raise, but some percentage of the time with nut flush especially when led into I'll give the guy a chance to bluff off more chips on the river. The chance of him filling on the river if he has a set is only about 20% (I have one of his outs if he has a set). Varying your play makes you harder to read. For the small amount I have invested in the pot, the board pairing on the river will not cost me much. Further it may give a 2nd nut flush the confidence in his hand to call the much larger raise on the river.
3. Agree to re-raise but not min raise or shove. More confusing to villain I think.

BabyHumvee: raises $2 to $3.28
HeroInBlack: calls $2
*** SHOW DOWN ***
BabyHumvee: shows [Ac 3d 9c 7d] (a flush, Ace high)
HeroInBlack: mucks hand
BabyHumvee collected $8.81 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $9.26 | Rake $0.45
Board [Qc 3c Td 6c Kc]
Seat 1: bluffy13 (small blind) folded on the Flop
Seat 3: HeroInBlack (big blind) mucked [2s Tc Jc 9d]

In my experience getting people to fold in 1c/2c plo pf is not a realistic aim, and even if you are only trying to get the two to fold in front of you so that you have position on the blinds this is still imo a long-shot. Also, this concept is strange anyway, as there is a reason that ppl don't raise with trash pf generally - if this was holdem or any other game I seriously doubt you would be raising pf at every opportunity presenting this positional argument

Yep, fair enough up to the bold - just a different style and varying your play is always good. But what on earth do you mean by the bold?? - if anything this is an argument for raising the turn as if the board did pair and he had the 2nd nut flush (which he did) that would completely kill your action and he sure as hell wouldn't feel MORE confident with his hand.
