I think what we are missing here is the call by ThreeSixes on the flop. Unless he had a read on this guy, drawing to a gut shot straight with the pot only paying 3-1 on with 4 clean outs (J for the straight) the implied
odds are low as he would be unlikely to get paid off if the J hits. That play requires a much larger pot to justify the call. You can't know that this player doesn't have an A. It seems that most of the time you are behind a lot of hands here...
Is it just me or it might have been the table. But for you to raise out of the SB and get reraised to $4 which is an (8xbb). That K10h seems to shrink quite a bit. I don't play 6 handed but i'm looking to flop hard or get out....Unless this guy has been a total donk the whole time. this hand seems to be saying they have a good hand. Then with the A on the flop and a half pot bet from the villan this is exactly how i would play a pair of A's a set or 2 pair....but to just call with only the gutshot straight draw? This play seems weak to me. If you think the villian is
bluffing you need to put them to the test.
What is your line of thinking here? If you have a read on the villan, then i don't mind check calling down. The villians betting is very bad But i can see how someone with weaker A could bet just like this. yet I dont' see how this is a good play most of the time.
