Playing at my local re-buy tourney in the cash game, last hand of the night, blinds are $2/4 but have been doubled to $4/8 for this hand.
I'm on the button with $400 (bought in for $240, had been stuck for most of the night but a good run had got me ahead).
UTG pushes for his last $50 a woman in mid position calls for her last $50 and 2 other players call before me, i've got Kh,Jh and make the call, the SB is a rich guy who's quite loose, thinks for a while and makes the call as does the BB. Pot $350, my stack $350.
The flop comes Ks 5d 6c, the SB bets out $200, BB folds, 2 late position callers fold and its on me. This guy has only sat down about 20 mins before and he has a slightly bigger stack than mine, I know that he's rich and from what i can tell he's loose but i have never played with him before and can't be sure how loose he is or what his style of play is, all i do know is he took a little while to call pre flop and has just bet into 4 players!
What should i do?

That's a tough one.

My first instinct was to say that based on your read of the opponent and the pot odds, you have to go for it.

But then I realized it's a dry side pot and you're contesting 3 other players for the main pot. Top pair third kicker is ok but not great for winning a 4-way pot.

But on the other hand, if you have SB beat you're going to win a lot more than the main pot.

If you're confident in your read, then I think you should shove. AK is almost always reraising preflop, and I doubt he would have thought for a long time to call with KQ, 66, or 55, especially if he's loose. I think your only big risks here are the two pair hands, which are kind of trashy hands. More likely is that you're crushing a weaker king, currently ahead of a straight draw, or he made some boneheaded play and has even worse.

Question: How long did it take him to make the bet on the flop?

It didn't take him long to bet, and although i was getting great odds PF i was only looking to play this hand for its straight and flush possibilities not as top pair average kicker, if some one else at the table had made the bet its an instafold for me, but i'm pretty sure this guy's not scared to throw his chips around, also i reckon i'm good against the 2 all-ins in the main pot because they were just chucking in their last $50 because it's the last hand of the night.
I'm putting him on A6, A5 or 2 pair.

We can get away here imo, but if your going to make your move calling is too passive you gotta shove if your gut tells you your good, if your crushed just follow them all home kidnap them then throw em in a shady looking bathroom with an elaborate game for them to play eh Jigsaw :p.

Btw on a side note, got round to seeing Saw V?

My suggestion is to fold pf and wait for the DVD it's pretty ordinary, which is a shame, how they went so far wrong from the original is mind boggling even 2 was piss poor.

Lol, i was going to do that anyway, wether i won the pot or not! As for saw 5, i agree that the films have got worse as they've gone on, the first one was a great film though, prolly wait for dvd.

Back to the hand though i'm defo folding or pushing and the only reason i'm think about pushing is because it's the last hand and if anyone is willing to make a move in this spot it's gonna be the rich guy who's had a couple of beers

Same thing happened to me last night. I called and won, and then felt dirty after he showed AK and I pulled the Jack on the river. I knew it was a dumb call and I'll never do it again.

Well anyway, after much deliberating i fold my kj face up much to the shock of everyone at the table (they have obviously played with this guy alot and realise he's prolly making a move) and he flips over 86o showing middle pair, the turn and river are blanks and he wins the main pot because the 2 all ins had nothing just as i thought, so i cash my chips and make the long drive home consoling myself that the drive would be much longer 90% of the time if i put my whole stack in with top pair average kicker.

I know that this may have seemed like an easy fold but something was telling me that i was good in this situation, my gut feeling was to call but my head was telling me there was no way i could, and i think thats because i play so much online that when i play live i find it hard to go with my instincts.

I'm really ok with the fold here, but don't muck it face up...this doesn't really accomplish anything.
