A, 7 or A, Q is possible here. I probably would have folded to the all in raise on the river.

The fact that hes called a raise on the flop and flatted a bet on the turn would set alarm bells ringing in my head i think. Your hand isnt even that strong, TPGK on a paired and flushed board. Id probably just check-fold the river, theres pretty much nothing that would push that you can beat (QJ probably wouldnt push, and Q10 now has you beat).

I'd probably just call the flop. I don't think we wanna get our stack in here, and protecting our hand from 3 aces is kinda silly.

Keep in mind, while this guy is loose, he's only raising 7% of his hands. That's 88+, ATs+, AQos+, KJs+. KQs is actually a loser against that range (37%). If you folded preflop I wouldn't mind one bit.

This guy's range doesn't have A7 in it, or QT or QJ. The hands we're worried about are QQ, KK, AA, AQ, TT.

Is there a chart somewhere on CC that breaks this down? That is, top 7%, 8%, 9%, etc.

I'd love to have something like that to refer to when I'm playing.

thanks

Thanks...I didn't realize PokerStove was so easy to use. I dl'd it a long time ago but never really looked at it. I didn't realize you could jsut put in the % and it would pop up the range for you. I thought you had to enter the range manually so I never got around to trying it.

I would have called the flop instead of Raiseing to $17, then checked the turn to see if I get bet into. If so I would decide my next move based on the bet amount to me and my previous reads on how that player acted in similar situations.

Why raise the flop?

Yeah, raising this flop is pretty spew. I think you should be check/calling two streets, and evaluating the river if he fires 3 barrels.

check/calling river makes absolutely no sense and i really hope you can figure out why. you're straight lighting money on fire. it's either a bet or a check/fold depending on player

I also think raising the flop is a mistake. Your creating a large pot with a marginal holding. I wouldn't be looking to stack with that hand...just look for a cheap SD.

You start with a $12.50 flop and turn it into a monster. What is a good SPR with TPPK about 4 times the flop amount. In essence, i can see why u've raised, as your worried about the flush draw. But u've no guarantee your got the best hand and ur putting urself into a sick position on the river.

Not really spewy, but i think i'd play it differently. Who knows, if he turns over QJ you look like a genius.

Toad you can calculate it at the table really easily and write ur own chart ;) it would take u 5mins.

PP = 0.5%
Unpaired 1.2%

I calculate it at the table.
