So....I don't know if this play had a + or a - EV...but here ya go. Calling the shove was a bit scary, but I just didn't believe it.

It looks to me like UTG either has a set of 22's or 44's (most likely) or is on a draw. (Maybe As 5s) If he has the draw mentioned he has 15 outs and is the favourite to win the pot anyways. I don't like calling this especially with the player behind you still left with a decision. If he has a set you are almost dead and even if he is drawing you are still an underdog (although only slightly)

Yep I think we can be up against sets and fl draws more often than not here. If i was up against 1 villain here, with some stats to aid my decision then maybe I'll play for stacks here. That said it's a 3 way pot, I'm probably folding this with villain behind me next to act.

Long run this will be -EV.

If UTG was on a draw there is no reason to push so hard given BB is calling Heroe's bet. Say UTG has Axs, the pot is .77, hero bets .55, BB calls .55, if you have the Axs why would you push instead of call?

UTG puts BB on a draw and knows the .55 is most likely a continuation bet by Hero. He is also confident he has Hero beat at this point.

Now, UTG could be pushing with QJ maybe even QJs and certainly UTG could be playing aggressive on a semi-bluff, but typically speaking and the reason this is long term -EV, is opponents will have two pair or a set.

Well I didn't put either of them on Q2 or Q4, I was a little worried about 24. I thought UTG shoved to put me off of a draw.

I had no idea what the BB had that he could call with. I did not expect him to call the shove.

I suppose the shove those scream trips trying to take down the pot right now
