Think you played it fine. Good raise preflop. You have to reraise his minraise on the flop and once he calls that you arent getting away cuz he only has 2.85 left. Just an unlucky hand

I see this sometimes, but a lot of times I see a minraise as a weak attempt at a bluff.

yeah, minraise can mean a lot of things. Notes on these almost always hold true for me.

this, set vs overpair almost impossible to get away from unless you have really really strong read on player.

There were way too many hands that you could beat on the flop. He probably would have played AJ the same way.

Thanks, I'm having such a bad run lately that my confidence is at a record low. I played 2 SNG's and then about 75 hands at a ring game WITHOUT WINNING EVEN ONE HAND! When I'm ahead I get outdrawn, when I'm behind I don't improve. I'm 4 for 25 in races over the past few days. I'm even losing races like my AJ vs their A9.

Really needed to get a reality check that the play here wasn't terrible for my own sanity.
