The guy to my immediate left is a calling station 90/0/0.6 after 97 hands
The guy in LP that bets the river is 10.7/3.6/2.4 at 84 hands. No reads on the other players that I can remember MP1 was pretty loose as well. Not really sure how to play this hand here, my line of thought was to thin the field on the flop with the probable best hand, and to get value from the calling stations on my left, then the whole table calls pretty much, so i didn't want to make the pot any bigger from there, wasn't too sure about the river either, I was thinking it would be a marginal call, been trying to stay out of those spots lately. What do you think is the best line here?

well I think he had a mid pair or even a busted flush draw but decided to make a pretty big stab at it after all those checks... on the other hand he could have cought his 2nd pair...
would have played it the same...

Woulda played it the same but I woulda called on the river. After all the checks on the turn I'm certain all of these players were drawing, floating, or had bottom/middle pair.

curious

I'm perfectly okay with the fold on the river (although I do't think a flat-call would be bad either). But why did you check the turn? You bet the flop (correctly, I believe), and there is only one realistic hand that the turn would have helped (JT). A decent value bet on the turn would have been far better. I think you have to assume that if you were ahead on the flop, then you're ahead on the turn also - and with a potential straight draw on the board, it's even more important to bet this turn.

I don't mind checking the turn here. You're OOP with TPGK and 4 opponents, exercising some pot control is certainly warranted. I would however recommend calling that river bet. Likely a busted FD or a small pair and I think you're ahead enough here to make the call +EV.

Pot control. Blah.
Just ask Rob about my pot control!
I guess I should work on it, as you may be right. But I keep feeling that if I believe I'm ahead I should always be betting/raising. Knowing you're ahead is much easierat a B&M casino (which is where I almost always play), though, so I guess restraint is the probably better online. I just don't like it.

Raise this up preflop FFS. This hand is likely to make you top pair, and you don't want to be playing this from OOP against 4 opponents. Plus you're ahead of most limper's ranges with KJ. I doubt anyone is limping with AJ, AK, or KQ. I pop 'em for $0.7 preflop.
