Was in a $1/$2 NL on party poker.

On last hand I had a K Q unsuited. Guy next to me raises to $4. I call. A Queen 5 8 come out on flop. I bet $10 he calls. 2 comes on the turn. He bets $10. I call. I feel I have the best hand with a pair of queens King kicker. I wasnt much afraid of the lower cards because his preflop raise and his call on my $10 bet. 3 comes out on the river. I dont remember the suits but there was no flush. He "asks" me to go all in.

He shows pocket aces :O

I told him nh and left...

I've played several limit games on partypoker and always seem to lose. Yesterday was my first No limit game on a $25 table in which I made $120 in an hour. Went back today played for about 3 hours and lost it against those pocket aces.

Dont you love poker? :p

Sorry... I was going to ask if I played this hand right... But it may belong in the bad beats board classified as a rant.

My Question is.. what did you think he was raising with?? 10,2?
He made the initial pre flop raise with a top ten pre flop hand.

Re-raise his min-raise on the flop. When he bet $4, you should have raised to $12 or more for info. When he calls, you know he has something.

(Your "He bet"s & "I bet"s are jumbled, so I'll assume someone check-called sometime.) When he calls your flop bet with no draws, he could have so many hands that could beat you like 88, QQ, AQ, KK, or AA. His bet on the turn was your big decision. You either think he's got something you can beat or you don't. This is where your table read comes in to help you decide.

Sounds like you played it the best you could post-flop. You just guessed wrong.

Maybe if you raise post flop like sticker said and if he calls or re raises you know he has something and then you can lay it down.

OOPS! I meant pre-flop. Should have been:

"Re-raise his min-raise pre-flop. When he bet $4, you should have raised to $12 or more for info. When he calls, you know he has something."
