Hey again,

Is this standard?

Villian is 20/12/1.7 over 300+ hands.

Squeeze 3% and 3bet 3.7%.

a) Should I call with JJ here?

b) Is flop standard with overs here?

I'm actually curious to hear some responses to this....I wouldn't exactly call this standard....From what I am seeing his 3bet range is with TT+ and AKs/o....(call me out if I am wrong here.) I think that without him having an extremely high cbet percentage here....you cant really continue here....my goal would have been to get to the sd as cheaply as possible....I think that the 34$ bet on the flop is a little suspect, but he is a nit from what im seeing......maybe its just a cooler though.......

Here's the thing ... your opponent made a squeeze play here BUT his squeeze and 3bet % are so close he's basically just making a 3bet with a monster ... QQ-AA or if you're lucky AK. That's his range on this hand.

I don't mind the preflop call and maybe even if you had some sort of read raising him was kinda ballsy but otherwise you are just crushed here. It's a super tough laydown don't get me wrong because you just WANT him to show AK which probably does cbet that flop.

Given his range and your hand I put the numbers into Pokerazor. Given the data, it's an overwhelming fold. Your hand is best 21.75% of the time and you have 19% equity.

Preflop is fine, postflop is bad. Here's why:

His raise is always a premium. Probably QQ+, AK, the smallish raise makes me believe it's a pair more often than not. Yes, I'm aware that crushes your range. Call primarily for set value here, and you should be calling with 22 as well. You have implied odds plus another possible person in the pot who can make it even bigger. You'll be paid most of the time you make your set because he almost always has an overpair. 4 betting would obviously be super spewy.

After reading that you probably can guess why I think it's bad. His bet screeeaams overpair, ruling out AK. A smaller bet would lead me to call and reevaluate turn. Folding is best here imo, followed by calling and reevaluating turn, followed by raising.

Agree with the posts above, 3% is AK/JJ+, and even AK has 10 outs twice since flop came 234 (possibly flush outs too). When this happens I think I'm beat preflop but then the flop comes low and I think "I has over". I try to fold here, sometimes I do.

Preflop is fine. Folding the flop is out of the question imo. People WILL make these huge c-bets with AK. In fact, when he c-bets that big I think he has AK more often than anything else.

You should call the flop and fold to a turn or river bet. Ironically enough, on that turn card he probably wouldn't bet his Kings. So if THAT turn card falls and he shoves, I'd snap-call. On most other turn cards I'd fold.

P.S.: if the turn blanks and he checks, I'd shove.
