Hmm, okay, at first I was thinking you could join the club with me and FP of those having forgotten they were chasing the straight and thinking the other guy hit his hand and folding, but yours was accidental, so I don't know if that qualifies. :p

But there seems to be a lot of that lately. Maybe along with the bad beat board we need a bad "bad play by me" section.

actually I have a great one about a similar scenario. In a 5 10 structure game, I flopped a set with pocket eights, two diamonds on board. I immediately knew my opponent was chasing the flush. Turn was not a diamond, so I bet, he just calls. River is a turn, diamond, but it also pairs the board. He bets, I muck. Then I recheck the river and notice it has in fact paired. I was concentrating so hard on the suit to make sure I didnt miss the flush that I didnt notice I had made my full house. I groaned and told everyone, they called me a liar till the dealer turned over my cards. oops. Only time Ive ever done that, thankfully it wasnt a huge limit game, and a relatively small pot.

oh well

The nearest I`ve had to that was in a MTT, 400 entries. I was in middle position. The button raised, he was reraised. I had 44. In error I pressed the `all in` button (about 18 times bb) button went all in, other guy called. Button had about same as me, other guy had about twice tha amount of chips. Button turns AK, chip leader turns AA  flop A4Q, turn 10, river 4

By that big bet I think he either had the boat or making a big amusing bluff. We'll never know.
