I would rather bet the flop here, why? because if you are running AT then most likely you raised with it preflop right? because calling with AT is never good. So when the flop comes out something like AAA you need to continue to represent a hand like a small pocket pair. At this point this is what villian is putting you on and might make a loose call with something like KQ and then if a broadway card peels off you can check like you are scared of it.
he could have a small pocketpair himself and play back at you on flop. I hardley ever slowplay hands so wouldnt it look kinda fishy if flop is AAA and I finally check?
