I was contemplating folding, but I just couldn't ****in do it. I feel like shit now, because I put him on AA and was almost positive (99.9%) he had it. I was gonna fold after I raised to $7.70 and he re-raised. Could you have folded here?

I've only thought my kings were beat by aces a couple times, and I still couldn't fold, no.

I know, before I deleted chat I even said "he had aces, I should fold" but just could not force myself to fold....

IMO it honestly comes down to if you know anything about the other player.

I'm running into lots and lots and LOTS of players at $25 NL it seems that will only do this with AA preflop.

Of course there are lots of players who will do this with all sorts of hands too... Which is why you need to know something about the villain to make any sort of call.

If he seems tight, i might just call instead of 4 bet here.

Ya, he was playing fairly tight. Another reason as why I was leaning to fold, I still am hating myself for this hand.

KK v AA is a cooler move on. As Harrington says, dont fold KK preflop. While AA will happen its a losing play to fold KK PF.

Standard. I don't like your small 4-bet, but either way the money is going in here.

I was gonna say this is a standard cooler, but then I saw you were both 200 blinds deep, which is where i would start considering folding KK preflop is a possibility.

Anyway, I don't like your calling villain's 5-bet preflop. If you think you can be against a hand that you crush like AK, QQ, JJ, then you need to get the money in preflop because scare cards could kill your action on the flop.

Which is why I already said I thought I was against AA and was ready to fold the KK to his $12 re-raise.

Don't do this.

As I think chuck said, even if you strongly suspect your opponent has aces do NOT fold KK preflop. I don't think I'd fold any pair actually with both of us being this deep.

Why? Because when you catch your set you will stack an opponent with UI aces a hell of alot more often than you stack other hands. Also, with KK you could pretty easily be up against AK or QQ (or worse).

so...if you are in this situation don't escalate the betting wildly preflop, you can call and take a flop and you SHOULD do this with kings.

I prefer to avoid letting him make the $12 re-re-raise by just calling the 3.75 if I suspect aces. If you are going to raise his $3.75 bet, you kinda have to call him if he raises you again.

At $25 NL I don't like getting it all in pre with KK UNLESS I know for a fact that the villain will allow himself to get all in with something less than AA preflop. It's usually not that hard to tell who will put a full buy in in the middle with TT or AJs. Also, hands like AK often slow down after the flop when they miss.
