Party Poker - $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Holdem (5 players)
Party Poker Hand Converter Tool from CardsChat.com

SB Hero: $1.95
BB: $0.82
UTG: $1.97
CO: $2
BTN: $3.33

Pre-flop: ($0.03) Hero is SB and dealt :ad4: :kd4:
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.08, Hero calls $0.07, BB raises to $0.14, BTN calls $0.06, Hero calls $0.06

Flop: ($0.42) :jh4: :3c4: :ah4: (3 players)
Hero bets $0.30, BB raises to $0.68 (All-in), BTN folds, Hero calls $0.38

Turn: ($1.78) :jh4: :3c4: :ah4: :4c4: (2 players)

River: ($1.78) :jh4: :3c4: :ah4: :4c4: :9s4: (2 players)

Villain was really lose with VPIP of 66.13 and PFR of 20.97 and although he did shove on the flop, I felt I had him dominated since it was shorthanded with only 5 people in the hand and I hit top pair top kicker.

SB: $2.72
BB Hero: $1.45
UTG: $2
UTG+1: $0.60 (sitting out)
MP: $0.60 (sitting out)
MP+1: $1.97
MP+2: $1.88
CO: $1.87
BTN: $2

Pre-flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB and dealt :5s4: :6h4:
5 folds, SB calls $0.01, Hero raises to $0.06, SB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.12) :4c4: :7c4: :3c4: (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.08, SB calls $0.08

Turn: ($0.28) :4c4: :7c4: :3c4: :qc4: (4 players)
SB bets $0.14

Should I have bet larger on the flop, like pot? I did not expect the turn to give a four to a flush and since the villain is loose, I thought I would be able to get his money by the river. He is also a pretty huge calling station.

Hand 1: 3-bet pre, as played stack off pre vs. shorty. As played, nothing you can do but get the money in.

Hand 2: Don't bluff-raise vs. calling stations. Raise a wider value range of hands that will flop well instead.

In hand 2, I got the straight although there is a nut flush draw if villain had a spade. Also, is going all in with a short stacker with AK, even if it is suited, a standard play? I know short stackers do sometimes open shove with 77 or lower, my AK is on the worse side of a coin flip to win if I dont connect.

You didn't give stats/reads on BTN in Hand 1 but barring BTN being a super nit, AK is a totally standard stackoff pre for ~100 BBs in a Blinds vs. BTN situation at a 5-handed table. When it gets back to you after the 3-bet, there are 18 BBs dead in the pot and your hand is going to play much better all-in pre vs. 1 rather than OOP vs. 2.

Villains stats on the first hand are listed right after the hand. BTN was not notably nitty.

You talking about raising PF?

I raise in the bb preflop 100% with ATC against any opponent who open limps the sb until given a reason to do otherwise.

Contrasting advice on this forum. But yeah, FWIW, I prefer keeping better value hands for raising in BB.

I pretty much raised the second hand cause villain limped in and I thought I could get him to fold with a reraise with this forum seems to emphasize a lot. I thought reraising with this hand, although not suited, would not be too bad. I would fold if villain 3bet me and I could hit the flop well if villain called which I did. I didnt slowplay but I didnt overbet either and I feel that raising more than 3xBB would be spew here.
