You might have reraised preflop, or bet more on the flop, but he seems to have been happy enough to get it all-in, so doubtful if you could have shaken him off whatever you did.

DUDE!

Yeah you did ok, it's not your fault. He called looking for an inside straight and got real lucky hitting runner runner 4's to crack your rockets.

The only other thing I could think of would be table image. If you've been passive/weak or bluffing a lot that may induce this kind of call. If he's tilting and swinging at the fences he got lucky and hit a home run against an awesome pitch.

The human quotent in poker makes anything possible.

I would have bet some more of the flop, but the smaller amount may have induced him to bluff. Just a sick beat for you, though. 49o, unreal.

You played it fine. Your opponent made a bad call and got a miracle runner runner trips. Don't be results oriented.

since he raise you to 2.75 you could have push all-in to force him out of the pot.

I had the same thing happen to me. You caught him on a bluff with his $2.75 raise. He just did not have the sense to get away from his bluff.

Same thing happened to me. Nothing you can do.

I had AA. Raise, reraise, so I push. Orig raiser folds, reraiser calls. He turns over 34o. I catch an A on flop to give me set. Turn and River give him a straight and takes me down.

I'm not down on the play though - just a donk who won. I reloaded and took my money back 3 fold. I love those players and will reload every time vs them. If you can call an all-in with a 3-4, I'll play you all night until you are busted.

But I'll always try to get all my money in preflop with AA. Win a lot more than I lose. That's all you can ask.

PF was fine, you wanted to isolate the caller. But on the flop, you had roughly $19 in the pot, so I would be betting 2/3 of the pot here, roughly $12 to bump the pot up. but then he went all-in anyway, so you were up against an idiot, and a big one at that. the only thing i can offer is remember his name, and take him to the cleaners next time.

When you raise it to 9 preflop and only bet 7 on flop, to some that means weakness and that you may have missed flop. So maybe he was making a move trying to force you out thinking you were weak.
